Product Description
It is an ancient breed from Southeast Asia, named after the Malay Peninsula. The Malay is the tallest breed – thanks to its long neck and long legs, combined with an upright stance – standing as tall as 21h feet (0.75 m). It is considered a game breed and has the mean expression of a fighter, but it is raised primarily for its lean meat or for exhibition. It is a large, heavy chicken with a strawberry comb, beetle brow, short beak, downward-turning tail. and hard feathers.
The Malay may be large or bantam and comes in a limited number of color varieties. The hens are poor layers of eggs with tinted shells and, when they are inclined to brood, make good mothers.
