Product Description
This breed has developed in Australia, primarily from the black Orpington, as a dual-purpose farmstead chicken. The breed name was derived by combining the words Australia and Orpington. The Australorp has a single comb, comes only in black, and may be either large or bantam. The hens are good layers of brown-shell eggs and have a quiet disposition that makes them first-rate brooding hens.
