Product Description
A dual-purpose breed from the Penedes community in the Principality of Catalonia, Spain. The Penedesenca is closely related to the Empordanesa but is meatier.
It has a carnation comb and has no bantam counterpart, and comes in solid black and a few color patterns, of which black is most common. The crele variety is autosexing – newly hatched cockerels are grey and pullets are brown in color. Like other Mediterranean breeds, Penedesencas are active and flighty.
